“…this is how mountains are supposed to look.”

Live the Great Life

Protected by mountains on all sides, Jackson Hole is an extraordinary refuge from the cacophony and complexity of city life in the United States of today. And, most people agree that there is no more beautiful valley in the nation, perhaps in the world. It is truly unique.

Jackson Hole is part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and is adjacent to both Yellowstone and the Rockefeller family’s great gift to our nation, Grand Teton National Park. This area comprises the largest intact ecosystem in the lower 48 states.

Scenery. Many have failed to find words to properly describe the absolutely gorgeous and dramatic scenery of this valley. The storied Tetons command the attention of every visitor to this valley, just as they did the earliest settlers more than 100 years ago.

Open Space. You, your children and grandchildren will experience thousands of acres of open space in perpetuity thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Jackson Hole Land Trust, one of the foremost land trusts in the nation. Scenic by-ways, river frontage, ranch lands and animal migration corridors are among the many valuable tracts of land that have been set aside to ensure open space in this valley into the future.

Protection from Overdevelopment. Unlike many Rocky Mountain resorts, Jackson Hole will remain pristine and uncluttered due to the fact that more than 97% of the valley is National Forest, National Park, or other public land. You will never see condominiums crawling up the mountainsides of this valley!

World Class Recreation. Blue ribbon trout fishing, world class skiing, and world class golf are only the beginning. Mountain climbing, hiking, kayaking, rafting, ballooning, heli-skiing, snowmobiling through some of the world’s greatest winter terrain, hockey, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and icefishing only scratch the surface of accessible activities to residents and visitors.

Cultural Life. Jackson Hole is fast becoming the cultural hub of the Northen Rocky Mountains. The beautiful new Center for the Arts provides performance venues and housing for various musical groups, the Dancer’s Workshop, and the Art Center. The Jackson Hole Film Festival, quickly gaining acclaim for its outstanding independent film offerings and The Grand Teton Music Festival bring world class film and music to the valley, summer and winter. Art galleries abound, and the annual Fall Arts Festival is considered the finest in the Western U.S.

Restaurants. Fine dining is a given in Jackson Hole. Several of our restaurants have achieved the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, beginning with The Snake River Grill, a truly world-class experience, and the Old Yellowstone Garage, both of which are on the Chef’s Top 100 List in the United States. Other award-winning restaurants include Stiegler’s, the Wild Sage, Alpenrose, the Granary and Teton Pines.

Hotels. Topping the list of outstanding places to stay are The Four Seasons at Teton Village, The Amangani, Spring Creek Ranch, and The Rusty Parrot.
